Chula Perazza (
a friend, mother of the owner of the house where we stayed that year in Mexico City) named this baby Palomita, the daughter of her domestic workers. I was impressed by her expression, so I painted her portrait. In 2025, I decided to donate this work to the Lions Club, who raffled it off to raise money for the maternity ward at the UBA Law Faculty (
Buenos Aires, Argentina).
