Ana Candioti is a renowned Argentine visual artist, portraitist, muralist and researcher of native peoples and ethnic groups. She was born in the city of Buenos Aires on July 9, 1954. She developed a solid academic background, won several awards and held exhibitions in her country and internationally.

Her work is based on research. Based on culture and lifestyle, Ana captures the essence of the people, developing her own style under the concept of "Art and Testimony". Following the traditions of Social Realism, she is the heir of the Mexican muralists and her compatriot Antonio Berni, according to the Argentine critic Rafael Squirru, recalling Muralism as the first pictorial movement originated on this continent.

She captures the soul of her portrayed, which captivates the intelligent observer who manages to enter the work, tasting its rich encrypted social message. Important private and public collections possess Ana Candioti's work.
